Mars it seems...clean up this ball first...then we'll see about leaving...!!!





Space…the final frontier…these are the chronicles of ISS “M”…it’s been a while since we had a major scientific breakthrough…this one beats them all in terms of accomplishment…what can I say that hasn’t already been said…lets give each of the constitution of the scientific community their due respect…lets protect and defend their work…more than that lets understand the extra effort put up behind the space program…or pretty much any other program that our country runs…we are the kings of our own destiny it is said…in a time when every chip, resistor, capacitor came from outside, we started our little adventures into sounding rockets…today we have traveled a long long way in terms of our capability to assemble electronics and get it to work for us…don’t get me wrong…assembly is not a bad thing…the whole word does it…even the US…only their chips are a few generations ahead…most people asked how would one generate that big an antenna to handle the traffic…so they built the biggest dish antenna for communicating with a satellite…heck I’d say we Indians are the kings of simplicity…if we wanted a antenna that big, we should have just used the railway lines…biggest straight piece of connected metal anywhere in the country…! Some elegant filtering of data…some proper protocols and we have a world class communication system free of cost...so much for ELF for submarine communication and so much for deep space network…! Anyways…an accomplishment is an accomplishment…no bones about it…but given the sensitive nature…we need to ensure that bacteria from here don’t go there…if mankind cannot clean up its act here…they should not be allowed to move out :) but that’s just me…we have no right to mess up another home while ours is very dirty.

A good visit to Kaziranga National Park [Rhino Land] - II

Kaziranga National Park has four gates for entry into the buffer zones...the drive lasts about two hours per gate...and if you are lucky you will get a guide (gypsy driver) who is full of knowledge and will explain all the names of the birds and animals during the drive. The East gate is a bird watchers paradise...actually all gates are equally interesting...this time of the year makes it a perfect destination to visit as the river levels are low and the animals are in their natural habitat with full abundance. The brave rangers of Kaziranga that look after the wildlife round the clock...it is sad that there are still poachers in this beautiful animal paradise...needless to say that the rangers keep them at bay. Some general wildlife pictures i tried to capture with my super old Canon EOS550D with a Tamron 18-400mm lens...i would have loved to upgrade to a Canon EOS R7 with a Canon 200-800mm lens...however that combination is a bit heavy on the hands and my fingers were literally cramp...

A good visit to Kaziranga National Park [Rhino land]

I'm NOT  a professional photographer...however during my recent  visit to Kaziranga National Park as part of my annual holiday i captured the below images. These two panoramas are typical of the landscape of Kaziranga...it is spread over 430 Sq. Km....vast expanses  of fertile land covered with silt from the river Brahmaputra...the river floods every year...all the animals are affected annually. This is a typical Bamboo built structure...in this case it is a restaurant...had some local chicken here...! A visit to the Orchid Park...a very nice collection of orchids from the entire North-East India...they have kept them alive and cultivated them through a lot of sheer effort...hats off to the local Karbi folks for thinking of such an idea and developing it. There was a traditional dance program at the arena next to the orchid park...sneaked in some photos :) These are traditional dances from Assam and North-East India...typically done during harvest time etc. The Tea Factor...

A taste of Freedom :)

  It has been ages since i took the opportunity to swing the flag around...this year just happened to be the one...many people post independence feel patriotic about this day...some feel like they can take their freedom for granted...me on the other hand...i don't really go all out in the colors of the flag...but I'm quite a bit nationalistic...quite a bit conservative...and quite a bit of a kid singing those happy songs in my mind...leading the  mind readers to their own "graves" in my own sweet way...best part is they don't even mind :) maybe they don't understand...the matrix is never meant to have all the keys to the universe in one place...they are distributed all over the place...and well hidden...some in plain sight...life has been one roller coaster ride...from those streets where they sold our lives for a dollar...to these streets where the grid is too kind and provides protection and affection...we are wary and we are aware...for it is not everyday t...
