TSEC at 25! Round #2 of the quarter century celebrations :)
Its not everyday when your college group gets together after a span of 25 years to celebrate the occasion of a reunion...each one of us has travelled through time at zip speed and the past 25 have been a breeze...everyone had their own experiences to share...our guest of honor was our principal from college days Dr. Kranti Kumar or KK as we affectionately used to call him...folks travelled from all over the world ranging from Australia to the US the long way around...it was a nice time and hats off to Sheetal and Prakash to start early last year to get people on one WhatsApp group...not everybody these days has time for WhatsApp groups much less for folks who have not had time to meet up for 25 years...somewhere i guess that thread of a connect having gone through the rigors of an engineering college like TSEC led them to accept the invitation during their super cramped up India visit...folks patiently introduced themselves to KK and then it was KK's turn...dinner was served and we all left on our merry ways keeping in mind that we may not meet again for a long long time...but that memory...that moment of being there...just showing up...will be in my opinion half the battle of showing "i care about someone else's time even if it has been 25 years"...a lot of batchmates do drop into Mumbai or pass through Mumbai on their way to their hometowns without a whisper...it is always encouraged for those who have a stopover in Mumbai to ping...maybe even over a short call or email so that we know what happens in each others lives...anyway...may the light shine on your path always...may there be solutions to all your problems in life...may you move heaven and earth for near and dear ones while they are around...may you find the courage in your weakest moment enough to pull you through the darkness...may you never go hungry...and most of all may you always cherish what you have...for all those youngsters who made it yesterday and for all those who could not the mothership thanks you for the short stay...keep in touch....Captain Kirk out.
