The eternal peace-keepers of Mumbai and Pune cities...hats off to the Mumbai and Pune Police

The one guy who never sleeps...never complains...never retreats in the face of peril...and who "un"-fortunately watches over me and has been watching for a while...being in my part of town is one thing...being under my very nose and thinking i would not know is yet another illusion...sorry neighbor, no pun intended...life has been very kind to me...for most of us who do not understand duty or have never been on bandobast for 48 hours straight because the replacements were not arriving on time...or have been never fed two straight meals by the very state machinery that promised them a bright future when they applied for the force...for those wearing nikes, rebooks and addidas shoes having no idea of what it is to wear a leather shoe for years with a torn sock and skin grazing the leather only to come off and desensitize the foot...for those who have a wonderful appraisal cycle every year and a bonus that would make the farmer feel aware of his below poverty line life but a cop who never had a raise for ten years because of the other guy superseding you on basis of a certificate or political connections...for working in a department where technically you have an AC, computer, coffee machine and a canteen facility night and day but still want to avoid a traffic ticket by bribing the on duty cop...for all those ultra educated idiots who don't understand the meaning of the last salute because they never had to be on the receiving end of a Kalashnikov...and especially for those idiots who think IT runs the country and have never been short of money to fly their families over but for a cop who has not been able to see his family in spite of being in the same city due to extreme on duty timings...the poor guys working intel and trying to keep the department informed about the crooks in town...and lastly for the on duty khaki guy with a cop to person ratio of about two hundred to five lakh city folks and still keeping the peace the best he can...aata kaay sangu...tumhala aamcha koti koti pranaam...a brave salute to those on duty in these difficult times...stay safe and stay true...each of you a superman...they'll see in time...i know for sure they'll see in time.
